Another victory declared in "Battle for Maternity Wards"

The money was used to provide all the necessary equipment for the care and management of babies and mothers: two delivery tables, two reanimation tables, a gynecological table, two patient monitors, one bilirubinometer, and one LED lamp.

At the official ceremony to present the donation on Wednesday, the participants were addressed by General Manger of CRH Serbia Frederic Aubet.

"Every company should be aware of the important role it plays in creating a positive impact in the community where it operates. Taking care of maternity and child care is most important also for our employees, especially as many of them have recently started their families. The aim of the campaign also represents an important part of the corporate social responsibility values that we respect at CRH Serbia. In this regard, we are very pleased that we are able to influence the improvement of the level of care that the little patients in the Paracin maternity ward will be receiving in the future," Aubet said.

Chairman of the Fund B92 Board of Directors Veran Matic said on this occasion that he was immensely grateful to CRH.

"I am very pleased to be able to, on behalf of the maternity ward of the General Hospital Paracin, thank Fund B92 and the company CRH on th e very valuable and important donation of medical equipment that has been presented to us today," said the hospital's director, Dr. Sladjana Vasic, and added:

"In addition to the continuous improvement of professional skills, facilities and equipment are prerequisites for the provision of quality health services. The state of the art medical equipment, worth around 50,000 euros, which we received today will enable doctors and nurses to do higher quality work and will help us achieve our goal, and that is satisfied and happy mothers leaving our maternity ward carrying healthy babies in their arms, with a smile on their face."

The ceremony was also attended by State Secretary in the Ministry of Health Doc. Dr. Ferenc Vicko, as well as the municipality's president, Sasa Paunovic.

With Wednesday's donation, Fund B92 declared 31st victory, which means that many maternity wards in Serbia have now been fully provided with the necessary equipment. In the future, thanks to the announced donations seven more victories will be declared, with a total of 14 hospitals left before the campaign has been completed.
