B92 concert for Tolerance Awards

 

BELGRADE, The Federal Minorities Ministry is to present individual and corporate awards for contribution to tolerance in Yugoslavia in the past year, at a concert in Belgrade's Sava Centre on December 11.

More than three hundred nominations for the awards had been received by November 28, said Minorities Minister Rasim Ljajic.

The nominations for individual awards include writers Aleksandar Tisma and Biljana Srbljanovic, politicians Dragoljub Micunovic, Riza Halimi and Nebojsa Covic and journalist Olja Beckovic.

A special tolerance award will be presented to the former head of the OSCE mission in Yugoslavia, Stefano Sannino.

The concert will also serve as the launch of the latest release from B92's music label, Serbia: Sounds Global 2.

The concert is organised jointly by RTV B92 and the Yugoslav Ministry of National and Ethnic Minorities.
