Putin stated that "the situation in the DNR, LNR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions is extremely difficult", he told the security forces in those regions that they must do everything to ensure the safety of its citizens."I would like to emphasize in particular that the units of the security agencies that have begun to operate in the new regions of Russia... yes, it is difficult for you now, the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions is extremely difficult. But the people who live there have hope in you, they trust in your protection," Putin said, as reported by the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.
President of Russia called it the duty of the secret services to do everything to ensure the maximum security of citizens and protect their rights and freedoms.
He also promised to provide new troops with modern equipment and weapons, as well as experienced personnel.
Putin called for strengthening the work of security agencies in key areas due to the emergence of new threats and ordered the special services to keep under constant control places of mass gathering of citizens, as well as strategic objects of traffic and energy infrastructure.
