Ukrainians raid holy places; NATO is not ready to respond to the Russians

The United Nations cannot identify those responsible for the attacks on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP), said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, today.

"Well, we don't have the ability to determine the attacks. We want all attacks to stop," he said, adding that he shared the concerns of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi and supported his call for all parties to stop all conflicts over the facilities, reported TASS. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced earlier that Ukrainian troops continued shelling the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant after a two-month break.

On November 19 and 20 alone, at least 25 shells were fired at the facility. The nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, and Russia took control of it at the end of February.

They raided the monastery

Ukraine's security service and police raided a 1.000-year-old Orthodox monastery in Kyiv this morning as part of operations against suspected "subversive activities of Russian special services," the Ukrainian security service said.

As stated in the announcement, these measures are taken as part of the systemic work of the Ukrainian security service in the fight against the destructive activities of the Russian special services in Ukraine, Reuters reported.

NATO acknowledged

NATO is not ready to respond to a potential threat from the Russian side anywhere along the bloc's border with Russia, the chairman of the Alliance's military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, told Reuters. The problem, he says, is infrastructure.

"In many countries - not only on the eastern wing - there are infrastructure problems," he said. And the former commander of NATO forces in Europe, General Ben Hodges, said that in the event that heavy equipment is transferred from America to Europe, the problem will be the poor throughput of European railways and the difference in track width.
