Russians warned in vain - a decision will soon be made

"I think that the decision to join NATO will be made in the near future," she said, adding that Finland "can no longer continue relations with Russia as it used to" due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

While Finland and Sweden are considering their candidacy for NATO membership, Russia has already warned that Stockholm and Helsinki should expect "consequences" both in relations with Russia and "for the European security structure as a whole."
