"That country could become the worst disaster humanity has ever caused"

At a session of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad, dedicated to the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, Khan stressed that the country needs humanitarian aid, emphasizing that if the world does not react in time, that country could become "the worst catastrophe that humanity has ever caused", reports Anatolia.

He also warned of the deteriorating situation in the health and education sectors.

Stressing that supporting Afghanistan is a religious duty, Khan said the OIC has a great responsibility in that regard.

He said that support for Afghanistan should not be connected with the Taliban, noting that it is necessary to provide assistance to 40 million people in that country. Khan also demanded that the international community be sensitive to Afghan cultural values.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is an international organization that brings together 57 countries in which Islam is the state majority or minority religion.
