White House spokesperson Josh Earnest has been quoted as saying that Obama reiterated his country's "the unbreakable commitment to the security of its allies in Asia and around the world."The North Korean state broadcaster has described the nuclear test as "the strongest explosion so far" and stressed that the country is now capable of putting nuclear warheads on ballistic missiles.
According to the UGSG, the test caused a M5.3 seismic event.
