U.S. "worried over deployment of Russian artillery in Syria"
U.S. authorities are concerned that Damascus and Moscow may be preparing to resume large-scale combat operations. The negative impact that the deployment of Russian forces could have, according to U.S. authorities, was the subject of a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his colleague in the White House Barack Obama on April 18.According to the paper, the ceasefire in Syria is on the verge of collapse. Because of the attacks by government forces, opposition representatives have left the negotiations in Geneva. However, regardless of this, the ceasefire, announced on February 27, has been in force for much longer than expected.
Previously, the Russian Army denied its involvement in Syrian land operations, but said that Russian military advisors and specialists were present there.
