IS terrorists are using weapons that were some ten years ago exported from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to Britain, and later arrived in Syria and Iraq.

The report was made on the basis of thousands of recordings and photos, and the conclusion is that Islamic State has access to a large arsenal of weapons and ammunition, produced in more than 25 countries worldwide.Those include American M16 rifles, Austrian and Russian snipers, as well as automatic weapons from China and Belgium.
The report also added that most of the weapons used by terrorists between 2003 and 2007 arrived in Iraq from the West.
"Certain types of weapons were imported from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to the United Kingdom in 2005 and 2006, to then be transferred to Iraq. About 20,000 Chinese-made weapons were transferred to Iraq from the UK at the beginning of 2007. Most of these weapons later disappeared," the report added.
It is emphasized that most of the weapons that the terrorists now use have been manufactured recently, but that there are also some pieces over 25 years old. Among them are British-made rifles from 1914, used in the First World War.
