Obama and Cameron: Together against Russians

As pointed out by Obama and Cameron, Russia is trying to force a sovereign state to give up its rights and to determine its future path at gunpoint.

"We need to support the right of Ukraine to determine its democratic future," said the two leaders.

The statement, published on the eve of the NATO summit in Wales, pointed out that NATO should build a "long-term" presence in Eastern Europe with the support of rapid reaction forces from land, sea and air as well as special forces "that may be deployed in a short time anywhere in the world. "

Obama and Cameron stressed that they will not give up in their fight against extremists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, who killed two American journalists and are threatening murder of a captured Briton.

The terrorists are wrong if they think they will weaken our struggle because of their threats, said in the joint statement. Obama and Cameron concluded that countries such as theirs "are not afraid barbarian murderers."

The British prime minister also said today that the West will increase pressure on Russia if the country does not limit its activities in Ukraine, which he called unacceptable.

Cameron said that sanctions imposed against Russia already have an effect, Reuters reported.
