MOSCOW 23 people lost their lives, while five survived a helicopter crash in Russia's Far Fast region of Yakutia, Itar-Tass reported on Tuesday. Among the survivors was a child, the news agency said. There were a total of 11 children aboard. 5 survive, 23 die in helicopter crash in Russian Far East Yakutia Government Deputy Chairman Anatoly Skrybykin was quoted as saying that the helicopter fell after its rotor hit a rock. "Three crew members and a woman with a child survived the crash. Among the fatalities is regional legislator Alexander Morozkin, head of the repubilc's investment company Viktor Yefimov and ALROSA company representatives," this official said. The Mi-8 made a hard landing supposedly because of loss of control, an official source told Itar-Tass. ITAR-TASS
