CARACAS Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez was re-elected as head of state in Sunday's presidential elections, defeating his main rival Henrique Capriles. According to still incomplete results, Chavez has won more than 54 percent of the vote and Capriles 45 percent. The turnout stood at over 80 percent of the 19 million registered voters.
