Two Iranian men are under arrest in Thailand, facing charges of causing explosions and attempting to murder police officers and members of the public. A third man, also an Iranian, is said to have fled to neighboring Malaysia after incidents on Tuesday when bomb blasts in Bangkok injured four civilians and a suspected bomber. Thailand authorities arrest two Iranians Some officials say that the explosions were targeting Israeli diplomats posted in Thailand. Israeli Ambassador Itzhak Shoham was quoted as saying that the explosives used in Bangkok were "identical to those used in New Delhi and Tbilisi on Monday", when Israelis were also targeted. Iran is rejecting these accusations, saying that Israel was "attempting to harm the friendly and historic relations between Tehran and Bangkok", and that "elements connected to the Zionist regime" were behind the incidents. And while tensions are growing between Israel and Iran, who are trading accusations on who organized a string of three bombing incidents in Asian capitals in the space of 24 hours, the Thai authorities said they charged a 28-year-old Iranian man, who on Tuesday lost both his legs as he was throwing a bomb at police officers. Another Iranian was arrested at the airport while he was trying to escape to Malaysia. A third man managed to escape, according to reports.
