Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has accused NATO of killing civilians in airstrikes and threatened NATO member states that they will become legitimate targets. He called NATO member states “murderers” and stressed that Libya would respond one day. Gaddafi says NATO states could become targets "You said, 'we hit our targets with precision', you murderers!" Gaddafi said in his speech on Libya’s state television only several days after NATO acknowledged for the first time that one of its missiles may have caused civilian casualties. "One day we will respond to you likewise and your homes will be legitimate targets," he stated, warning of war in Europe, the U.S. and Asia, Reuters has reported. According to Reuters, the date on the recording showed June 22 but the Libyan leader referred to a NATO strike on a house in Tripoli on June 19. On June 19 NATO acknowledged responsibility for nine civilian victims who were killed during an airstrike in Tripoli and explained that "weapons system failure" caused the error. Muammar Gaddafi
