Russia has introduced a ban on import of fresh vegetables produced in the European Union after an outbreak of a deadly bacteria. The E. coli was initially found in Germany but is now spreading to other parts of Europe, and has thus far claimed the lives of 17 people. Russia bans import of EU vegetables New cases of infection are being reported, especially in Holland, with some persons sick with the bacteria said to now be in the U.S. All of them previously either stayed or passed through Germany. The EU last night revoked its warning that cucumbers originating in Spain were the cause of the outbreak. The real source of the infection remains undetermined. New cases of infection are being reported, especially in Holland, with some persons sick with the bacteria said to now be in the U.S.

All of them previously either stayed or passed through Germany.
