Reports said that he was in conspiracy with four other soldiers. U.S. soldiers sentenced for killing Aghanis The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of premeditated murder and one count of conspiracy, obstructing justice and illegal drug use. A military judge said he "initially intended to sentence Morlock to life in prison with possibility of parole but was bound by the plea deal". Morlock was the key figure in a war crimes investigation, accused of taking a lead role in the killings of three unarmed Afghan men in Kandahar January, February and May 2010. The case came to the court after another soldier told his parents that his fellow soldiers had murdered a civilian and were planning to kill more.
