The latest video pictures from deep underground in Chile where 33 miners have been trapped for three weeks have been seen by their families above ground. A camera was sent down a narrow bore hole on Thursday to remotely check on how the men are coping. Its estimated they could have lost up to 10 kilograms each in weight. Pictures emerge of trapped Chile miners In the video they were able to show how they have organized life in their refuge. The trapped men had already exchanged notes with their families on the surface. It could be up to four months before they are re-united. 700 meters separates them for the moment, but the newly released pictures have brought them closer. “He seems happy, animated, he’s singing, sends his regards to his parents, his family, his wife and children. Surely he will be ok,” responded one woman who watched the pictures of someone she knows. In Santiago a lawyer for one of the families filed what is expected to be the first of many lawsuits against the San Esteban mining company.
