A Belgrade man on his way to pay a parking ticket saw and filmed a foreign number plates Ferrari illegally parked right in front of the Communal Police HQ.

Belgrader spots Ferrari illegally parked in front of police

Belgrade's Parking Service told B92 on Wednesday that a report about this vehicle "only arrived today" - despite the fact the footage was published on Tuesday afternoon. They added that when a team arrived at the location, "the car was no longer there."

The video shows the luxury car parked in front of 31 Makenzijeva St. in violation of the rule that states drivers must park their vehicles at a distance of at least five meters from pedestrian crossings.

The author claims that several communal police officer saw the Ferrari, and that other citizens pointed out to it, but that there was "no ticket."

"I came to the Communal Police to pay a ticket I got for one of my tires being ten centimeters into a green space. And in this case, they did nothing," the man said.

He added that the Ferrari's driver first parked it in front of the building itself, and then moved it "after citizens protested."

Parking spaces and appropriate traffic signs can be seen right behind the illegally parked vehicle.

B92 has requested information about this case from the Communal Police, who are in charge of maintaining communal order, including parking.

Unofficially, we learned that this police unit "cannot react independently when it comes to vehicles with foreign registration plates."
