VIRTUS philanthropy awards given in ceremony in Belgrade

VIRTUS Main Award for corporate contribution at the national level went to Delta Holding for their program offering financial and expert support to social companies in the area of agriculture, and the possibility of selling their goods via Delta Agrar and Yuhor stores.

VIRTUS Award for contribution to the local community in which the company operates went to JTI International Senta for money, equipment and volunteer work donations.

VIRTUS Award for small and medium-size enterprises was given to the Nordeus company from Belgrade for their support to the Battle for Maternity Wards and Battle for Schools campaigns, as well as to the Children's Shelter.

VIRTUS Long-term partnership Award between profit and nonprofit sector was received by GlaxoSmithKline LTD for their ten-year partnership with BELhospice.

VIRTUS Award for individual contribution to philanthropy was given to Milomir Glavcic, a pensioner from Canada, who made numerous donations to institutions and citizens in Serbia.

VIRTUS Special Award for individual contribution to philanthropy in providing assistance to refugees was presented to Gordan Paunovic, who raised over RSD 1.2 million for refugees transiting Serbia, and took part in collecting food, clothes, toys, and other donations, and in the setting up of InfoParks.

VIRTUS Special Award for small companies went to Giros Plus from Belgrade for their "Tuesday is Giros Day!" initiative. The company has been donating its products to children who live or work in the streets for the past two years.

The 9th competition to select the winners was organized by the Trag Foundation, in cooperation with European Union, Balkan Trust for Democracy, USAID, VIA Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF), The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Magazine Ekonometar, Business Magazine, Magazine New Economy, Business Info Group, eKapija, AmCham Serbia, Media Center Belgrade and PR Society of Serbia.
