Serbia beat Czech Republic to reach EuroBasket semi-finals

In a bid to reach the final, Serbia will on Friday face Lithuania, which beat Italy 95-85 (21-20, 16-16, 23-23, 19-20 - 16:6) in overtime.

In a tough and even battle, the Serbian team managed to break down the resistance of their quality and tenacious opponent as late as the final quarter of the game.

Erceg (20 pts), Raduljica (16 pts), Bjelica (14 pts) and Teodosic (12 pts) were the game's top scorers, with Teodosic also providing as many as 14 assists - more than any EuroBasket player since 2009. Vesely and Satoransky lead the scoring for the Czech Republic with 23 and 20 points, respectively.

Serbia is now just a step away from its goal - securing a spot in the final, which also ensures a berth at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.

Spain will take on France in the other EuroBasket semi-final on Thursday.
