Border crossings calm, refugees bused to Croatia

There are now significantly fewer refugees at the crossing compared to the previous days.

Tanjug's reporter at the scene said that from early morning refugees are being transported directly to Croatia, to the border crossing Bezdan. During the night, a large number was taken to a reception center in Kanjiza, northern Serbia, from where they "for the most part" departed for Croatia, the agency said.

It is not possible to determine exactly how many refugees are currently located at Horgos 2, given that many are still in tents spread out in the meadows near the official border crossing.

They told Tanjug's reporter they were planning to stay in this location, despite the fact that Hungarians have rebuilt the the wall on the border, while others claim they "do not dare to board the buses as they are unsure whether they will really be taken to Croatia," and also, whether that route is safe and whether they will manage to reach Germany.

The situation is calm at the Horgos 1 crossing as well this morning. There are also migrants in their tents there, while the border has been closed until further notice. The fate of these people is uncertain, Tanjug said.
