Novi Pazar hospital to receive donation

Popovic, who previously on many occasions took part in campaigns and donated money, contacted the B92 Fund and announced he wished to give EUR 90,000 to the Novi Pazar hospital.

The donation will provide this health care institution with necessary equipment it lacked during a recent series of events that led to the tragic deaths of seven people.

The Fund said in a statement that while it is clear that the clock cannot be turned back, "we can do everything to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future."

The medical equipment that the hospital needs is now being purchased, and includes manual transport incubators, delivery tables, pulse oximeters, CTGs, sterilizers, surgery and examination lamps, and EKG monitors and resuscitation sets.

B92 Fund Board of Directors President Veran Matic explained that this will be the 20th maternity ward to be fully equipped as part of the humanitarian campaigns.

Matic invited donors to contact the Fund in order to, as soon as possible, equip all other maternity wards in Serbia, thus reducing infant mortality and encouraging parents that their children will be born in the safest conditions and with the best possible care for babies and their mothers.
