Exhibition at Belgrade school marks Hanukkah

The exhibition, which opened on Tuesday, features Hanukkah and Christmas drawings by children from the Starina Novak school and the Center for Informal Jewish Education.

The exhibition was opened by Gili Dekel, CEO of the Israeli company Direct Capital S, who noted that it is important to establish a relationship of mutual trust between the two cultures and strengthen the Jewish-Serbian ties.

Dekel presented the "smart" board, which should help teachers and pupils modernise school classes and make them more fun, while the Centre for Informal Jewish Education donated a set of creative toys for motivational learning.

School headmaster Vlada Vucinic said that it is important that the friendship between the two cultures is developing and that the present of the Israeli investor enables teachers to use new educational methods.

The exhibition, funded by Direct Capital S, was previously on display at the cultural institution of Belgrade's municipality of Palilula.
