Nis Clinical Center Director Zoran Radovanovic thanked the donors and said that the Battle for Babies campaign had given an enormous contribution to improvement of conditions in pediatric and maternity wards “which is obviously something that the state itself cannot solve in the foreseeable future”. Matic pointed to Glencore International’s significant contribution to the battle. “The donation, aside from being among the biggest ones so far, also has a symbolical meaning. We hope that other large foreign companies and our people who are in top positions there will follow the example from Switzerland and join the battle for the lives and unrestricted growing up of babies in our country,” he noted.
