PANCEVO A new mobile incubator for the transport of prematurely born babies has been handed over to the neonatology department of the General Hospital in Pancevo. Company West Pharmaceutical from Kovin had donated funds for the acquisition of this incubator, within the campaign “Battle for the Babies“. Mobile incubator for General Hospital in Pancevo General Manager of the hospital in Pancevo, dr Milan Milic, accompanied by the Chief of Gynecology Department, Dr Vladimir Vajs, had welcomed B92 Fund’s representatives, discussing in a friendly manner the needs of this medical center for its undisturbed functioning and offering an adequate care to its youngest citizens. According to the words of the campaign’s “Battle for Maternity Wards“ coordinator, Ilir Gasi, with today’s donation, the number of provided incubators for the General Hospital in Pancevo had reached four, and all needs of this medical institution when it comes to incubators are satisfied. Still, for its undisturbed functioning, it is necessary to provide other equipment as well without which health workers are faced with great challenges. List of deficient equipment in this hospital includes the following pieces: pulse oximeters, reanimation table, monitors for following baby’s vital functions, phototherapy lamps, reanimation sets, infusion pumps, beds for the stay of the newborns, apparatus for testing hearing, as well as special scales for the newborns. During this autumn, we plan lots of other activities in the battle for furnishing more than 50 maternity wards all over Serbia. (B92, file) B92
