Belgrade tourist board readies 3D map of city
The Belgrade Tourism Organization (TOB) announced on Monday it had completed the first stage of a three-dimensional map of the Serbian capital city.

BELGRADE The Belgrade Tourism Organization (TOB) announced on Monday it had completed the first stage of a three-dimensional map of the Serbian capital city. "Belgrade in 3D" can be viewed on Google Earth and anyone interested can take a virtual stroll through the city streets. Belgrade tourist board readies 3D map of city The first stage of the project involved placing the traditional Belgrade landmarks from the very heart of the city, those that have the greatest historical and architectural significance. The 3D map contains Kalemegdan, Knez Mihajlova Street, Kosancicev Venac and Pristaniste. A second stage of the 3D map is now planned, and it will involve creating 3D buildings in all the squares, Skadarlija and the Dedinje neighborhood. According to project official Zeljko Zdravkovic, the fact that more than 700 million people use Google Earth daily speaks enough about the popularity of this type of promotion of the city.
