Serbian Parliament Speaker and Acting President Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic wished a happy Easter to believers who celebrate it according to the Julian calendar. “I hope that the holiday joy will help spread the spirit of tolerance and solidarity, the values that our society really needs at the moment. I would like you to spend the holiday celebrating life, in spiritual peace and good health,” the speaker said in her Easter message to Patriarch Irinej, Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) and all believers and citizens.
