Novi Sad police entered the Archibald Reiss barracks and evicted Social Center activists from the building on Friday. According to the activists, police and military police came to the building a little after 09:00 CET on Friday and told them to leave. Police evict artists from ex-army barracks The Social Center activists said that the military police had been somewhat “rougher” than the last time and that they had therefore decided to take their things and leave the barracks. The artists are currently standing in front of the barracks where they continued with their program. According to the Social Center activists, they are still not sure what they will do next but they have pointed point out that the Social Center’s basic idea must not die and that they will continue to request a space where they could hold their cultural programs.
