"There are many new possibilities and we expect that, by signing the protocol and defining cooperation in significant areas, our activities will be accelerated and that they will primarily benefit the Serbian and Polish citizens and artists," Bradic underscored. He pointed out that he and Zdrojewski discussed cooperation in the area of cultural activities in creative industries, translation, cinematography, cultural heritage, exchange of young artists and the very institutions. Pointing out that Poland will hold the EU Presidency in 2011, Bradic expressed his belief that, with Poland's support, Serbia's EU integration will be accelerated. Zdrojewski expressed his regret over the earthquake that hit central Serbia on Wednesday morning. He said that this is his first visit to Belgrade and that it has been very well organized. Zdrojewski said that the signed agreement is of general character, but that it includes detailed provisions, and added that it is important for the agreement to contribute to giving institutional character to cultural cooperation. The two ministers later unveiled at the Manjez park in Belgrade the statue of Frederic Chopin, Polish-French composer and pianist, the two hundredth anniversary of whose birth is being marked across the world this year.
