International Day of the Disappeared was marked on Sunday in Serbia and around the world. Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Delegation for the Balkans Paul Henry Arni stated on the occasion that both the families of the missing persons and this humanitarian organization are not at all satisfied with the dynamics of solving cases of the persons who went missing during the armed conflicts in Western Balkans. International Day of Disappeared marked In an interview for Tanjug Arni stated that during the last year certain but insufficient progress was made in search for the missing persons. According to the number of the solved cases, Bosnia-Herzegovina is in the lead with 900 identified remains, and along with around 11,000 unsolved cases, Arni said, adding that the dynamics of solving cases of missing persons in Bosnia can be qualified as satisfying. Arni underlined that this cannot be said for the cases of the persons went missing in the other two conflicts, since last year in Croatia, where currently 2,300 persons are still recorded as missing, 110 persons were identified, while in Kosovo, there were only 55 of them. Therefore, when it comes to the number of the solved cases in Kosovo, the Red Cross and the families of the missing persons are not satisfied at all since the fate of over 1,800 persons has not been solved yet, he said. When asked about postponements of digging out mass graves of kidnapped and missing Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija, Arni said that the ICRC has exerted huge pressure in Pristina, and Brussels as well, for the exhumations to start as soon as possible. Asked about the fate of about 350 Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija who are believed to have fallen victim of organ trafficking Arni said that the case has not been forgotten. "The Yellow House case has not been forgotten at all," he responded and recalled that Dick Marty, the head of the Council of Europe's team in charge of the case, should submit the report by the end of the year.
