This season Greece topped the list of favorite destinations chosen by Serbian tourists, Belgrade daily Politika writes. Croatia is rising on the list, with some agencies reporting last year's numbers tripling, while Bulgaria has seen the highest drop of Serbian tourists. Greece favorite tourist destination As for Montenegro, Serbians rarely rely on travel agencies when they organize their holidays there, so precise data for this country is missing. At the same time, according to agencies' unofficial data for this summer, the overall number of people who went somewhere on their vacation dropped between 35 and 40 percent. The central bank (NBS) says those who decided to travel abroad took with them 34 percent less money than last year. Also unofficially, Greece was the favorite destination, with this country's embassy in Belgrade issuing as many as 350,000 visas to Serbians.
