Kenyans dominate Belgrade Marathon

Victor Kiplagat Kigen is the winner of the men's race of the 22nd Belgrade Marathon held in the Serbian capital this Saturday. He finished the race in two hours, 13 minutes, 28 seconds. Kenyans dominate Belgrade Marathon Sylvester Kipyego and Julius Kiplagat Korir were second and third. Another Kenyan athlete, Anne Ajepkemboi Kosgei, won the women's race, finishing in two hours, 34 minutes, 51 second. Lithuania's Rasa Drazdauskaite finished second, while Maria Ruiz of Spain took third place. Serbia's Oliver Jevtic won the semi-marathon, running the 21-km track in one hour, 12 minutes and 20 seconds. The Belgrade Marathon, sponsored by Banca Intesa, has gathered over 1,000 participants from 40 countries. Several tens of thousands were expected to take part in the Pleasure Race, the marathon organizers stated on Friday. Winners Kosgei and Kigen are seen in Belgrade today (Tanjug)
