Frequent threats allegedly sent by the members of the co-called Toplica Iron Regiment, resulted in closing of the Kursumlija Municipal Court today. At a same time, Dejan Milosevic, president of the organization gathering local war veterans, was interviewed Saturday night by the police because of the threats he made to the presiding judge of that court, Radisa Jovanovic, and members of his family. Threats shut down Kursumlija court Jovic's daughter Ivona told the police that Milosevic warned her father and her family. “I met Dejan Milosevic in my building, and he grabbed my arm and threatened me. He told me to tell my father not to play with fire, and that it would end badly for him and his family,” said Ivona. After her report, the police took Milosevic downtown, but in his statement, he denied all allegations. “These are lies. The fight for our wartime wages has been ongoing for more than a year now. Many times they tried ruin my reputation using tricks,” Milosevic said. Judge Jovic, meantime, said that his security, as well as the security of his family was jeopardized, and that he would notify the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court, at the same time pressing criminal charges against Milosevic. ''I will file criminal charges over violated security and attempted murder,” he said. At the same time, chief of the court’s security said that the court will be closed today. "Kursumlija Municipal Court will be closed on Monday. The court security is not able to provide safety to the staff due to the threats and attacks made by the Toplica Iron Regiment organization,” said Stojanovic. Kursumlija’s veterans of war, members of the association, stated earlier that they would organize protests and block the court building, due to alleged illegal and arbitrary verdicts that certain judges made. These decisions, the veterans said, halted the payment of the fifth installment of their war wages, blocking the money provided by the government.
