20 people were hurt in an accident at Belgrade railway station this morning. The accident took place around 6.15. 20 hurt in accident at Belgrade railway station A train arriving from Lapovo “didn’t stop properly or on time, and, at a speed of 3 or 4 kmph hit the barrier at the end of the platform,” Serbian Railways Media Center Director Mile Lokas told B92. Lokas added that passengers had received treatment in a nearby ambulance, before being transferred to Casualty in Belgrade. He said that about half of those injured in the accident were company employees as the train was a shift train carrying Serbian Railway employees. Lokas said that there was little material damage, and that traffic had not been interrupted, and was continuing normally. The Serbian Railways Emergency Commission came out to the scene and conducted an investigation. The cause of the accident would be announced later, said the director. Company executives visited the injured passengers in Casualty this morning. Train hits Yugo near Belgrade Fair Lokas said that, at 6.55 this morning, another accident had taken place at the Senjak level crossing, near the Belgrade Fair, when the Belgrade- Nis express train struck a Yugo driven by Emilio Glibner. Glibner received shoulder injuries in the collision and was transferred to Casualty. The Senjak level-crossing was protected by a barrier, stressed the Serbian railways director. He added that the company’s emergency commission had conducted an investigation there too.

Lokas said that, at 6.55 this morning, another accident had taken place at the Senjak level crossing, near the Belgrade Fair, when the Belgrade- Niš express train struck a Yugo driven by Emilio Glibner.

Glibner received shoulder injuries in the collision and was transferred to Casualty.

The Senjak level-crossing was protected by a barrier, stressed the Serbian railways director.

He added that the company’s emergency commission had conducted an investigation there too.
