A North Carolina electronics museum has made Nikola Tesla their choice for "the scientist of the year". The International Electronics Museum and the International Linesman's Hall of Fame have honored the Croatia-born Serb scientist for his contribution to the electrical industry of the United States, the Ministry for Diaspora announced on Monday. Nikola Tesla honored in North Carolina Recently, a memorial plaque bearing Tesla's name was placed on the Engineering Club building, were he received the Edison medal in 1917. Tesla's name has joined those of Edison, Carnegie, Vanderbilt and others and the Nikola Tesla Corner is located in the 40th Street in Manhattan. Special efforts of the Tesla Memorial Society have resulted in a memorial plaque on the New Yorker Hotel where Tesla spent the last ten years of his life and where he died in 1943.
