A concert of the neo-Nazi bands from Hungary, scheduled for Saturday, has been cancelled. The Youth Movement of 64 Counties, an organization promoting Greater Hungary, officially outlawed in that country, announced that the Subotica event will not go through as planned, because the Crafts Chamber in that Vojvodina town decided not to host it. Hungarian neo-Nazi bands will not perform in Vojvodina League of Vojvodina Social Democrats leader Nenad Canak earlier urged the minister of the interior to ban not only the concert of the bands in question, which propagate ultra-right anti-Semitic policy, but also their activities and entry to Serbia. "Just as we did not allow the neo-Nazis to hold a rally in Novi Sad, we will not allow for this kind of gathering in Subotica. We expect the MUP to do its job so that we don't have to do the work of the state organs. We are demanding from Interior Minister Dragan Jocic one and one thing alone, but this is probably the hardest thing for him, and that is, to do his job," Canak said. "Do not forget that bloody events of the Second World War left an enormous trace in Vojvodina and that they will never be forgotten. Therefore, swastikas and fascists of any ethnicity are not needed here and we will never allow them to gather here," he said.
