Today’s editions of Belgrade’s dailies focus on the inability of the ruling coalition to come to an election agreement. Also featuring highly is the visit of Hague Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte and economic themes. Press: Elections and Voda Voda takeover BLIC – “Divac owner of Voda Voda“ is the headline of an article concerning the controversy over who is the Voda Voda company chief shareholder, and of whether there have been oversights during the takeover of the company. “Germany master of Kosovo’s fate“ features an interview with Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic. BORBA – “Elections ever more likely“ says the paper, following government statements that four of the necessary laws for calling elections are ready. In “Divac grabbing Voda Voda“ the previous company owner, Vojin Djordjevic, has accused the former basketball player of taking his position via “illegal dealings.“ VECERNJE NOVOSTI – “I’m personally ordering barracks searches” features an interview with Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, who says that there are no Hague fugitives hiding in military bases. In an article entitled, “Elections shaking government“, the daily writes about the Democratic Party’s (DS) plans to hold elections on December 9, against the Democratic Party of Serbia’s (DSS) wishes. “Euro bottoms out“ concerns the falling value of the Euro compared to the dinar.
