Vojislav Seselj will not ask the Hague Tribunal for permission to attend his mother's funeral, reports said Saturday. "The accused has not filed a request for temporary release yesterday, and has made it clear to the detention unit official he does not intend to do so in the future either," the court said. Seselj will not attend mother's funeral Seselj's mother Danica passed away in Belgrade on Friday, and will be buried on Monday. The Tribunal has so far granted almost all request for temporary release due to the Hague indictees' wish to attend funerals of their immediate family members, Ramush Haradinaj being the latest example. Seselj, the leader of the Serb Radical Party (SRS), has spent the last four and a half years at the Hague awaiting trial, charged with war crimes committed against non-Serbs in Croatia, Bosnia, and in Serbia, in the northern province of Vojvodina. His trial is set to start on November 7.
