The trial of Florim Ejupi, charged with the murder of 12 passengers on a Nisekspres bus in 2001, will start in October. Ejupi is accused of mining the road in the village of Livadica, near Podujevo, in Kosovo on February 16, 2001, thus causing an explosion that killed twelve Serb passengers on the bus traveling from Nis to Gracanica. The victims' legal representative, Zivojin Jokanovic, told Radio KiM that the trial of Ejupi, currently the only accused, was due to begin on October 2. The trial venue remains in doubt since, according to Jokanovic, it was originally supposed to take place in Dubrava, but on behalf of the victims he had, for the sake of easier access, submitted a request for the trial to take place in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. In addition to Ejupi, Celi GaSHIi, Avdij Behluli and Jusuf Veliu were also arrested on suspicion of involvement in the attack, but were later acquitted at trial for a lack of evidence. Nebojsa, Snezana and Danilo Cokic, Mirjana Dragovic, Suncica Pejacic, Tihomir Stojkovic, the Tokic married couple, Dragan Vukotic, Nenad Stojanovic, Kragovic Milinko and Lazar Milkic all perished in the attack.
