"Ulemek feared Hague"
Mikelić explained that he was asked to organize the meeting by a friend who knew Spasojević. “Aco Tomić was first to arrive. The others arrived soon after,” Mikelić said, adding that Former state intelligence (DB) chief Rade Bulatović, who was Vojislav Koštunica’s adviser at the time, also attended the meeting.According to Mikelić, Ulemek was interested whether he had been under investigation concerning a list that reportedly contained thirty-odd names of army chiefs that participated in the 1990s war in Croatia and Bosnia and in Kosovo as well. The list had reportedly been a point of interest for the Hague Prosecutor’s Office.
“Tomić responded he was informed that certain army chiefs were under investigation by the Hague, without disclosing their names or exact number,” Mikelić said.
In his testimony before the court in the Đinđić assassination trial on March 20, Aco Tomić said that he met with Zemun gang leader Dušan Spasojević in 2002 at Ulemek’s request. Tomić added that Rade Bulatović and Borislav Mikelić were also present at the time.
