Croatian state TV has astrologer explain government crisis

Croatia on Wednesday saw HDZ party leader Tomislav Karamarko resign as first deputy prime minister after he was officially found to have been in conflict of interest, while Prime Minister Tomislav Oreskovic, and another of his deputies, Bozo Petrov, held a news conference.

For that reason, the state TV invited astrologer Andjelka Subasic - who, according to N1 broadcaster, "predicted before the government was formed that Karamarko would have to leave its helm."

Subasic said on Wednesday that the Croatian government "will not fall today," and added that "the universe is guarding Karamarko."

"He is neither politically dead nor on the downward path because God, that is, the Universe, is guarding him from everything that's bad for him," the astrologer said.

Subasic also had words of praise for Oreskovic, describing him as "responsible and brave - and not stepping down for now," but added he would not serve his entire term in office. As for the leader of the opposition SDP party and former Croatian prime Minister, Zoran Milanovic, she described him as "scared, and without a stance."
