Migrants again block railroad near Idomeni
The railway was opened only briefly, after which the migrants put up their tents and large stones on the tracks.According to the reports, the situation in Idomeni is tense. A Syrian man was injured last night under still unclear circumstances.
The Greek police yesterday fired tear gas against a group of migrants who were throwing stones at a police van, which they thought had run over the injured Syrian, said the Macedonian agency MIA.
According to police sources, anit-riot squads quickly intervened and broke up a group of aggressive migrants.
There are still many migrants in the improvised Idomeni camp who want to continue their journey toward rich EU countries, although the so-called Balkan route has been closed for several weeks.
