Slovenian PM: Flows of migrants on Balkan route have ended

"The irregular flows of migrant on the Western Balkan route has now come to an end."

Western Balkan countries along the migrant route, from Greece to Austria, in February began to apply stricter border rules, which significantly reduced the refugee wave and led to a halt on the Greek-Macedonian border where between 13,000 and 14,000 migrants who arrived via Turkey are now blocked.

Late on Monday the EU and Turkey reached an agreement in principle that provides for the return of refugees from Greece to Turkey. Implementation of this plan should be formalized at the EU summit on March 17. The prime ministers of Turkey and Greece have also met for talks on Tuesday.
