Russia accused of interfering in Montenegro's affairs
Such statements of representatives of the Russian Duma "legally mean interference in the internal affairs of a country," said Kacin, adding that the Russian proposal is unusual in diplomatic practice, but consistent with the country's style of foreign policy."In general, as an ambassador to NATO, I would not comment on such Russian statements, but what I can say is that Moscow's proposal is very unusual, because it concerns the organization of a sovereign state. I must say that the proposal is extremely unusual, but, on the other hand, it is very Russian, that is, it is in Moscow's style," Kacin told Podgorica daily Pobjeda, according to Montenegrin state broadcaster RTCG.
The idea of Montenegro as a "Balkan Switzerland" was launched by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Zheleznyak during his meeting in Moscow with Montenegrin opposition leaders Andrija Mandic, Milan Knezevic and Predrag Bulatovic.
