"Theater unwelcome because of Montenegro's Kosovo policy"
The Montenegrin amateur theater did not say which city and institution refused to organize their performance, but members of the ensemble have taken to social networks, publishing "an integral letter explaining why they were not suitable for the audience in question."The letter expresses regrets that the Center for Culture in Pozarevac, a town in eastern Serbia, cannot accept a guest performance by the theater from Kolasin, adding that "Montenegro supported the enemies of Serbia, Siptars in Kosovo, in their intent to be accepted to UNESCO."
According to Beta, the letter adds that the management of the Center "cannot accept to present to its audience artists from a state that stands for further plundering of Serb land and Serb cultural holy places."
The report notes that "Montenegro recognized Kosovo in 2008 and recently at UNESCO's Executive Board supported a recommendation to allow it to be admitted to the organization."
