Photojournalist assaulted by Croatian police at border
An incident occurred on Monday after noon on the border between Serbia and Croatia, "in no man's land near the Bapska-Berkasovo crossing," said reports.

"They moved against me, I shouted that I was an AFP photojournalist and that their colleagues checked my ID this morning," Isakovic told N1.He said officers were "quite rude", and "even cursed."
"They asked me to hand over the cards. One of them ran towards me, caught up with me and threw me into the mud. They took away my cameras in a savage manner and threw them into an orchard on the Croatian side, so I could not reach them. They did the same to a colleague from England," he said.
Isakovic claims that neither the colleague nor him "in any way provoked the attack which followed."
The Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) protested today, as stated, against the inappropriate behavior of Croatian police toward Isakovic and a British photographer, and asked the competent authorities of Croatia to return their confiscated equipment.
In a statement, NUNS also requested an investigation into the incident and for the police officer who assaulted Isakovic and his British colleague to be punished, and called on Croatia "to provide normal conditions for the work of all journalists who cover this area."
