Explosions near police stations in Macedonia

The Macedonian Interior Ministry has confirmed that two explosions occurred near police stations in the towns of Tetovo and Kumanovo.

Explosions near police stations in Macedonia

The local media said that the "causes of the explosions" are still being determined, but that the ministry denied the police stations were the target of the attacks.

Spokesman Ivo Kotevski said no additional information would be given before the investigation was over.

The media are reporting unofficially that a hand grenade placed inside a sewer manhole went off in Kumanovo.

Albanian language websites reported, based on unofficial information, that hand grenades were "thrown" at the two police stations.
