Montenegro "blacklists" Russian Deputy PM Rogozin

Among them is Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, the Podgorica daily Vijesti reported.

Naryshkin was meanwhile this week on a two-day visit to Serbia.

Others from the list of those targeted by the sanctions that Montenegro has joined are Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, and presidential adviser Sergei Glazyev.

On March 27, the Montenegrin government joined EU sanctions announced six days earlier, described as restrictive measures against the activities that "undermine or endanger Ukraine's "territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence."

The ban on entry is now in place for 53 Russian and Ukrainian citizens. The Montenegrin government is yet to join the latest round of sanctions the EU introduced on April 28 that targets 15 more persons.
