Prosecutors discuss cooperation in prosecuting war crimes
The meeting was dedicated to the recently completed activities of the joint team aimed at locating and processing the perpetrators of the 1993 crime in Štrpce and to significant progress achieved in this case, actively investigated by the Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, the two prosecutor's offices stated in a joint release.As Salihović informed his Belgrade colleagues, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia-Herzegovina will soon bring indictments against several persons for war crimes against Serbs in the vicinity of Sarajevo, where several tens of Serbs, including children and the elderly, were killed, and a number of the victims' family members were displaced across BiH and Serbia.
He added that the Bosnian prosecutors are close to solving another crime against Serbs that took place at the onset of the war in that country.
The topics discussed in the meeting also included the tracing of war crime witnesses in the territory of Bosnia and Serbia, and obtaining their testimony via video link or in other ways recognized by the law.
