EU high representative to visit Montenegro on Monday

PODGORICA EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton will visit Montenegro on Monday, Beta news agency has learned. This will be Ashton’s first visit to Montenegro since she took office and it will take place just a week after the presidential election whose results are questioned by candidate Miodrag Lekic and the opposition. EU high representative to visit Montenegro on Monday The EU high representative will meet with top Montenegrin officials with whom she will discuss the political situation in the country. Montenegro’s PM Milo Djukanovic, however, says that Ashton’s visit was not planned in advance and that it has nothing to do with the results of the presidential election. EU high representative to visit Montenegro on Monday

The EU high representative will meet with top Montenegrin officials with whom she will discuss the political situation in the country.

Montenegro’s PM Milo Đukanović, however, says that Ashton’s visit was not planned in advance and that it has nothing to do with the results of the presidential election.

He added that Ashton’s visit to Podgorica was not completely certain.

The EU high representative should visit Belgrade on April 17.
